DUBLIN, Ohio, April 13, 2026 — Navista, Cardinal Health’s oncology practice alliance, today announced the appointment of Lalan Wilfong, MD, as Chief Medical Officer. In this role, Dr. Wilfong will support clinical strategy for Navista, collaborating as a trusted clinical voice across the alliance. As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Wilfong will aid development and adoption of evidence‑based pathways, advance value‑based care initiatives and assist practices in bringing advanced therapies to the community setting amid a rapidly evolving therapeutic landscape.

Dr. Wilfong brings nearly 25 years of experience as a practicing medical oncologist, physician leader and healthcare executive to Navista. He practiced medical oncology and hematology at Texas Oncology from 2003-2026, serving in several physician and executive leadership roles at both Texas Oncology and The US Oncology Network during his tenure. As SVP, Payer and Care Transformation for US Oncology, Dr. Wilfong led large-scale operational, clinical and payer‑strategy initiatives that drove improved performance and strengthened payer contracting across the network.

Dr. Wilfong joins Navista from Thyme Care where he served as SVP, Value Based Care, for the care navigation platform. While at Thyme Care, Dr. Wilfong guided oncology practice partnerships, advanced innovative contracting strategies and launched programs aimed at improving patient outcomes while elevating the organization’s position as a national oncology thought leader.
