Nini Wu, MD, on the Future Implications of AI in Oncology, From Revenue to Patient Support

Navista Chief Medical & Development Officer Nini Wu, MD, MBA, shared her insights with AJMC at the 2025 Community Oncology Conference on the integration of AI in community oncology practice and what that means for patients and clinicians. 

 

While AI can aid in revenue cycle management, improve patient interactions and reduce financial toxicity, Dr. Wu shared that the ultimate success of AI in clinical practice depends on patient readiness and the infrastructure practices build to support AI optimization in their practices.  

 

“AI can help us and free up our time so that we spend more of our time contacting or spending it with the patients so that they get their needs from a people's viewpoint, because really, that's what they're looking for,” Dr. Wu explained. “We appreciate the convenience of the AI tools, but in oncology and community oncology, it's about the people relationship.”
